Job Summary

Vape Shack is seeking a full-time Store Manager – Retail to manage daily store operations at our Osoyoos, BC location. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing store performance, organizing merchandise, supporting customer service, monitoring budgets and expenses, and helping develop strategies to improve business operations and sales.

This is an on-site position in a retail business located in a rural area. The position involves responsibilities that support efficient operations, inventory planning, reduced waste, and improved resource management.

Job Duties

The Store Manager – Retail will perform the following duties:

• Direct and control daily operations

• Evaluate daily operations

• Plan and organize daily operations

• Manage staff and assign duties

• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales

• Implement price and credits policies

• Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale

• Develop and implement marketing strategies

• Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses

• Determine staffing requirements

• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages

• Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers

• Oversee payroll administration

• Conduct performance reviews

Requirements

Language of work: English

Education:
College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years of related retail management or supervisory experience.

Computer and technology knowledge:

• Point-of-sale system

• Word processing software

• Inventory control software

• Email

Work Conditions

• Work must be completed at the physical store location.

• There is no option to work remotely.

• The position may involve shift work or on-call availability depending on business needs.

• The successful candidate must be willing to relocate if required.
